School Speech and Language Pathologist

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC or CFY) for a full-time, contract position during the 2025-2026 school year. Two openings are available for an itinerant role based in Waterbury, CT, serving an elementary school and the local preschool community. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students from preschool through 8th grade. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students across preschool to 8th grade. Collaborate with another SLP assigned to the same school to develop effective intervention plans. Conduct assessments and create individualized education plans (IEPs). Support preschool children within the surrounding community in addition to school-based students. Maintain accurate records and progress reports. Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Experience or strong interest in working in school settings, especially with elementary-aged children. Ability to manage an itinerant caseload efficiently. Willingness to collaborate with a fellow SLP in a team environment. New graduates and clinicians new to school settings welcome. Location: Waterbury, CT, with responsibility to serve one elementary school and the neighboring preschool community. This is a full-time role at 37.5 hours per week during the contracted school year. Please note that teletherapy providers and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will not be considered for these positions.
