Pediatric School Speech Therapist

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support a middle school caseload in Chula Vista, CA. This contract role offers approximately 24 hours per week (3 days), focusing on providing specialized speech and language services to middle school students over the course of the school year. Key Qualifications: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, ideally within educational or healthcare settings Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred Familiarity with school-based speech therapy practices and compliance Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and families Responsibilities: Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to middle school students based on their individual education plans (IEPs) Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for speech and language disorders Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on student progress Engage with students, families, and staff to support speech and language development goals Location: Middle school setting in Chula Vista, California This contract position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists who want a part-time, school-based opportunity with a manageable caseload and the chance to impact student growth in a supportive educational environment.
