Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A contract occupational therapist is needed to support K-12 students in a Philadelphia school during a leave assignment from mid-November to mid-January. This position involves delivering both direct and consultative occupational therapy services to diverse learners in classroom and therapy settings, helping them develop essential skills for academic and functional success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to determine eligibility for services under IDEA and Section 504. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized OT goals and treatment plans aligned with IEP/504 requirements. Provide direct therapy focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, handwriting, visual-motor integration, self-care, and adaptive behaviors. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including teachers, special educators, therapists, psychologists, and families. Participate actively in IEP/504 meetings and contribute to comprehensive educational planning. Recommend accommodations, modifications, assistive technology, and classroom strategies. Document therapy services accurately, meeting all district, state, and federal guidelines. Deliver staff training or consultation on supporting students with OT needs. Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations and licensure standards. Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist license. NBCOT certification. Required background clearances as mandated by Pennsylvania law. Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy with children and youth.
