The position provides a contract commitment for the current school year (CSY) with a flexible schedule to accommodate work-life balance. Responsibilities include providing physical therapy services to a caseload of 7-8 students ranging from 1st to 3rd grade, with some students in 6th grade. The therapy sessions will focus on supporting students' mobility and functional abilities within the school environment, collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure individualized care. The role requires availability during school hours, with a typical schedule of 30 hours per week between Monday and Friday (7:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.), with flexibility on exact days and times. Desired qualifications and experience: Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials valid for school-based practice Experience working in both healthcare and educational settings Capable of managing a caseload of young students (grades 1-3 primarily) Strong communication skills to collaborate with school teams, families, and healthcare professionals Ability to adapt therapy plans to diverse student needs and school schedules This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to impact student development and contribute to their academic success through specialized physical therapy interventions.
