Job Description
A part-time opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services, providing support to students from preschool through 8th grade in a K-8 educational setting. This role, based in Tamworth, New Hampshire, offers a contract position for the new school year with approximately 15 hours per week, flexible based on caseload demands.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct occupational therapy services to students across preschool to 8th grade levels
- Conducting evaluations to assess student needs and progress
- Participating in meetings related to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Writing and updating IEP goals and progress reports
- Managing a K-8 caseload without supervision responsibilities for COTAs
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in home health, school, or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with pediatric populations, specifically within K-12 educational environments
- Ability to conduct evaluations, develop therapeutic goals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
