An opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide direct support in a K-12 school setting in Vacaville, CA. This contract position offers a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week for the school year (NSY) and focuses on delivering onsite therapy services to pediatric students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy, testing, and assessments to K-12 students.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Individualized Education Plan Summary (iEPS) meetings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support student goals and progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and assessments in compliance with school and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid California State license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school environments.
- Knowledge of K-12 therapy service delivery, assessment procedures, and IEP development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with educators, therapists, and families.
