School Occupational Therapist - Lawrenceville, Virginia

A certified Occupational Therapy professional is sought to support K-12 students across multiple schools in a district-wide role, providing therapeutic services essential to enhancing student development and participation in educational activities. This contract position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively within a structured caseload framework, focusing on tailored therapy interventions and IEP goals across diverse educational settings.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Manage a caseload with appropriate documentation in the districts IEP system, with training provided.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs.
• Participate in paid team meetings and complete administrative responsibilities within allocated indirect hours.
• Work itinerantly across district-wide schools, ensuring effective service delivery in various environments.

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia Occupational Therapy license (OT or COTA).
• Experience in pediatric occupational therapy within school, home health, teletherapy, or healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with K-12 educational systems and IEP processes preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain compliance with district policies, including fingerprinting and credential verification.

Hours and Duration:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
