A valid state school superintendent certification is also a prerequisite. They should have excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Prior job roles before becoming a Superintendent could include being a Principal, Assistant Superintendent, or Director of Curriculum in a school district.
