A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in school administration is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and communication disorders in students. They work closely with teachers, parents, and school psychologists to create individualized education programs (IEPs) to improve students' communication skills, academic performance, and social development. Important skills for this role include excellent communication, patience, empathy, problem-solving, and the ability to work with a diverse range of students. They should have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
