Speech-Language Pathologist Jobs in Webb City, MO
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in school administration is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and communication disorders in students. They work closely with teachers, parents, and school psychologists to create individualized education programs (IEPs) to improve students' communication skills, academic performance, and social development. They also play a critical role in educating school staff about communication disorders and how to accommodate students with these issues. Prior to becoming an SLP, a person may have roles as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, a Special Education Teacher, or a School Counselor.
