Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists based in La Quinta, CA, who want to support children in their communications development! Soliant has partnered with a local school district and is seeking a full-time contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year.
Requirements:
ASHA-Certified candidates preferred
Candidates must be eligible for a Speech and Language credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
Prior schools experience strongly preferred
Pay and Benefits: Hourly W2 pay of $55 to $110/hr, dependent on experience
Health, vision and dental insurance
Paid sick leave, accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked
Employer-matched 401(k)
Materials and/or CEU reimbursements of $150 every 13 weeks
As a Speech-Language Pathologist in an education setting, clinicians will:
Conduct both informal and standardized assessments to determine students' level of speech therapy needs
Updating progress reports to ensure that students are moving towards their IEP goals
Write reports based on evaluation results, in accordance with state and federal mandates
Develop IEP goals in collaboration with District staff and families
Present evaluation reports and IEP goals at meetings
In some cases, SLPs may be called upon to supervise Clinical Fellows, student interns (at both the graduate and undergraduate level), and SLPAs
We seek candidates who demonstrate the following core competencies:
Excellent communication skills
Strong work ethic and drive to support student success
Ability to collaborate with co-workers and student families
Problem-solving skills
