POSITION: School Counselor - Bilingual Preferred (Temporary FT)
START DATE: 2025-2026 School Year
Certification: Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Certification in Elementary School Counseling
Qualifications: Bilingual in written and oral communication, preferred.
Clean Criminal Background Check and Child Protection Registry and TB Clearance required prior to employment
Salary: Counselors are paid on the teacher salary schedule based on experience and degree. Salary Schedule can be found on the district website:
Primary Duties:
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency and experience in the following:
May register students new to the school and orient them to school procedures and the school's varied opportunities for learning.
Assists students and families with school-related needs.
Maintains student records and protects their confidentiality as directed.
Confers with parents whenever necessary and provides interpreting support during school events.
Provides counseling support.
Conducts small group instruction for counseling modules.
Provides community resources to students and their families.
Utilizes the E-Schools and Student Accounting System.
Other related duties as may be required
