LOCAL AND NON-LOCAL(OUTSIDE OF CA) CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED. NON-LOCAL CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO WORK 7-4 OR 8-5 PST/PDT. ASSIGNMENT IS PRIMARILY REMOTE WITH A VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE OF TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED. THERE COULD POTENTIALLY BE A COUPLE OF IN-PERSON CLIENT MEETINGS A YEAR IN SAN RAMON OR LIVERMORE.

Client LAPTOP WILL BE ISSUED. IF A NON-LOCAL CANDIDATE IS CHOSEN OUTSIDE OF Client SERVICE TERRITORY THE SUPPLIER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LAPTOP AND ANY ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED EXCEPT THERE IS APPROVAL TO SUBMIT AN EXPENSE UP TO *** FOR A MONITOR. RECEIPT MUST BE PROVIDED.

Job Description:

Successfully execute routine maintenance tasks on courses and learning components across multiple modalities.

Collaborate with Senior Instructional Designer (SID) and clients to conceptualize training design and content.

Establish learning objectives, define course structure, develop content, and create assessments.

Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing materials and each relevant task for training.

Adhere to company standards, guidelines, and templates in developing learning materials, including presentations and guides for students and facilitators, activities, scenarios, and assessments. Design instructional PPT for WBTs and ILTs. Compose clear instructional materials tailored to the target audience.

Lead virtual meetings with subject matter experts for task analysis, alpha and beta reviews.

Maintain engagement with subject matter experts to ensure ongoing content review and validation. Integrate feedback as required.

Demonstrate effective self-management of tasks and deadlines to meet deliverable requirements, while proactively communicating potential issues and risks.

Exhibit confidence and proficiency working within a high-performing team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience leading the development of instructor-led, web-based, or virtual training within technical environments.

3+ years of expertise in creating self-paced training materials in a variety of modalities.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work closely with Clients in a relaxed, professional manner.

Proven background in designing training programs for the utility industry.

Skilled in technical writing.

Comprehensive understanding of the ADDIE model, adult learning theory, and instructional design methodologies.

Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Articulate.

Ability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously as required.

Highly Desired:

Knowledge of QuestionMark, Author-it, Honeycomb, learning portals.

Experience with technical training.

Available to travel up to 5% of the time as needed (i.e. Livermore and San Ramon).

Bachelor's degree ideal but not required

Strong instructional design skills, open to feedback and collaboration, and ability to pivot between tasks.
