Director of Admissions, Enrollment, and RetentionFLSA Status: ExemptFull-time/Part-time: Full-time Contract Terms: 12 monthsBenefits Eligible: YesReports to: PresidentJob Description:The Director of Admissions is responsible for all aspects of the 9-12 admissions, enrollment, and retention processes. The ability to speak to the benefits of a Catholic education and the specific elements that make Salpointe the most compelling choice for high school, even for non-Catholics, is essential. Understanding and passionately supporting the strategic admissions, enrollment, and retention initiatives of the school are critical for success.Admission/Enrollment/Retention Management Responsibilities:Develop a comprehensive plan to promote Salpointe Catholic High School to prospective incoming students, transfer students, and parents.Develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, and forecasting.Collaborate with the Director of Advancement in the development and execution of the admissions offices marketing plan in an effort to support admissions and school identity.Coordinate and execute all admissions events, including the annual Open House, Step-Up Day, Interview Nights, Registration Nights, New Student Information Night, and the New Student Tailgate Party.Coordinate the administration of the entrance exam and Salpointe and partner schools.Coordinate the school visitation program (i.e. campus tours and shadow days) for prospective students and families.Develop and maintain close working relationships with partner schools and local parishes, to include recruitment visits at partner schools and public relations efforts at local parishes.Direct the Admissions Committee, which evaluates candidates and makes admission decisions.Perform interviews of new and prospective students when appropriate.Manage the notification process for admission decisions statuses of students.Organize the registration process for new students.Implement programs and outreach to retain enrolled freshmen from acceptance through the first day of school.Collaborate with Student Services on orientation programs for new and transfer students.Develop an International Student Recruitment process and explore opportunities for exchange programs with international Catholic schools.Create a comprehensive retention program that focuses on student and family satisfaction, gathering data to identify areas for improvement of the student experience, and developing programs to bring new students into the community quickly.Financial Aid Responsibilities:Work closely with the Financial Aid Office to plan and coordinate the financial aid application process for incoming freshman and transfer students, including the notification process.Effectively communicate financial aid opportunities to prospective families.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in a relevant area (advanced degree a plus).Previous progressive leadership experience in high school or college admissions, school administration, or sales and marketing.Proven success in strengthening enrollment or membership or increasing market share by creating and implementing a systematic and strategic approach toward a generation of new applicants.High-level analytical and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to plan strategically.Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing.Excellent public speaking skills.Ability to work collegially within a team of educational leaders.Possess high energy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively.Blackbaud/Enrollment Management experience preferred.A valid drivers license and the ability to travel and work nights and weekends as necessary.
