Job Description

PK-12 School Nurse - position will be shared between 2 buildings - those buildings are to be determined.

Under the general supervision of Building principals, the Nurse performs the following responsibilities and roles including any other duties as assigned:

Participates in developing and implementing school health policies and procedure.

Maintains accurate and complete health records.

Manages time and resources in the provision of school health services.

Plans and implements appropriate health screenings as indicated by board policy.

Monitors specific health conditions, which can have an impact on learning, and develops an Individual Health Plan to assist all school staff in meeting student's health needs.

Instructs staff on plan of care and health needs of students.

Monitors for outbreaks of infectious and or communicable diseases.

Manages Medicaid system.
