Cape Elizabeth Middle School (CEMS) is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and student-centered leader to serve as our next Assistant Principal. This is a unique opportunity to join a committed team of educators and staff who are passionate about creating an exceptional middle school experience?one that is responsive, challenging, equitable, engaging, and empowering for every student.
We are currently in the beginning stages of building a brand-new middle school facility that will open at the start of the 2028-2029 school year. This moment offers the incoming Assistant Principal a rare chance to help reimagine and reshape Cape Elizabeth Middle School for the future, not only in terms of physical space, but in the systems, structures, and culture that define who we are and who we want to be.

- Will serve as an integral member of our MTSS and student support teams, helping to create and sustain responsive, effective support structures for students and staff
- Can take the lead on key operational tasks (e.g. securing substitutes, managing safety procedures) while also contributing to the broader instructional and cultural leadership of the school
- Sees collaboration as essential to success and thrives in a team-oriented environment
