Job Description Summary:
The College of Education at Eastern Oregon University is currently seeking applicants for a part-time adjunct instructor to teach in the Graduate Educational Leadership program, supporting principal licensure preparation. Candidates should demonstrate:
The Graduate Educational Leadership program is aligned with the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission ( TSPC ) Principal License: Program Standards ( OAR ...) and prepares candidates for principal licensure ( OAR ...). The 40-credit program is delivered through a combination of asynchronous coursework and synchronous learning experiences and can be completed in 12 years.
Instructors play a critical role in supporting candidates through integrated clinical practice experiences totaling a minimum of 300 hours, including collaboration with university supervisors and mentor administrators. Faculty are expected to support candidate development across coursework aligned to key leadership domains, including equity and ethics, school improvement, budget and finance, student success and well-being, instructional leadership, supervision and evaluation, and school operations.
Responsibilities :

Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Educational Leadership, Education, or a closely related field
- Current or previous administrative licensure (e.g., Principal License) or eligibility for licensure in Oregon ( TSPC )
- Demonstrated experience in K12 educational leadership (e.g., principal, assistant principal, or district-level leadership role)
- Knowledge of Oregon TSPC standards for principal licensure ( OAR ... and OAR ...)
- Experience supporting adult learners or teaching in higher education or professional development settings
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, ethics, and inclusive practices in education
- Strong understanding of instructional leadership, supervision and evaluation, school improvement, and organizational leadership
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use and integrate instructional technology in online and hybrid environments
- Ability to mentor and support candidates during clinical practice experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Oregon Principal License or experience working within Oregons TSPC system
- Experience teaching in graduate-level leadership or administrator preparation programs
- Demonstrated effectiveness in online, hybrid, and/or asynchronous instruction
- Experience supervising or mentoring principal licensure candidates, including clinical practice or internship oversight
- Knowledge of continuous improvement processes, including data-informed decision-making and school or district improvement planning
- Experience with school finance, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Background in supervision, evaluation, and professional development of licensed staff
- Expertise in culturally responsive leadership and practices supporting diverse and underserved populations
- Experience collaborating with K12 districts, community partners, or regional education systems
- Evidence of ongoing professional engagement in educational leadership (e.g., professional organizations, presentations, applied research)
