Position Summary:

Washington Catholic Schools is seeking a passionate, organized, and experienced individual to serve as the Athletic Director. This position requires leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, along with a dedication to fostering a positive and competitive athletic culture aligned with the school's mission.

Responsibilities:

Athletic Director

Oversee all aspects of the school's athletic programs (grades K-12)

Manage the scheduling of games, transportation, facilities, and officials

Hire, support, and evaluate coaches across all sports programs

Ensure compliance with IHSAA regulations and Catholic education standards

Maintain athletic budget, fundraising efforts, and equipment inventory

Promote student-athlete academic achievement and character development

Communicate clearly and consistently with coaches, parents, and athletes to keep everyone informed and connected.

Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a competitive spirit consistent with Christian values

Coordinate with coaches, trainers, and school administration

Engage with the school community and represent the program positively

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education,

Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain)

Prior coaching and athletic administrative experience (high school level or above preferred)

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Commitment to the values and mission of Catholic education

Must pass background check and complete Safe Environment training
