Job Title: Summer Virtual High School Counselor

Reports to: Administrator on site

Salary: Extra Service Rate of Pay per Collective Bargaining Agreement = $40.00 per hour

All positions are dependent upon student enrollment.

Employment Status: Non-continuing positions from June 15, 2026 - July 21, 2026 - Can earn UP TO 150 total hours of paid time. Paid on a timecard for time worked.

  • Classes will run Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Session 1: June 22, 2026 - July 2, 2026
  • Session 2: July 6, 2026 - July 16, 2026

Essential Job Functions:

  • Register students prior to the beginning of the summer school sessions.
  • Communicate with district counselors regarding the registration process and appropriate courses for students needing credit recovery.
  • Assess and enter data on student summer school credit completion (tracking student progress, schedules, graduation requirements).
  • Assist with daily supervision and attendance monitoring of student progress during daily sessions.
  • Other duties as regularly assigned to a counseling position or as assigned by administration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Teacher certificate with appropriate endorsement for position required.
  • High school credit advising experience preferred.
  • Experience with the use of Skyward, Google Docs and Google Email.
  • Previous experience working with students of diversity, cultural differences and differentiated learning needs preferred.
  • Must complete all district required training.

Selection Process: A district representative will notify selected applicant(s) of placement.
