Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field (Bachelors preferred)
- Current SLPA licensure or certification according to state requirements
- Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations highly desirable
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, clinicians, and families to support student goals
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students as prescribed by supervising SLPs, in both individual and small group settings
- Assist in developing, modifying, and implementing communication programs and strategies tailored to student needs
- Collect and document data on student progress, maintaining detailed records for use by SLP and educational teams
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities to engage diverse learners
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and staff development opportunities
- Support inclusive learning environments by adapting therapeutic interventions for classroom integration
