Job Title: High School Assistant Principal
Primary Role
The High School Assistant Principal supports the leadership and daily operations of the high school, with a focus on testing coordination, student services, and supervision. This role oversees IEPs and 504s for non-ED/Life Skills students, manages testing schedules, and coordinates key school events such as convocations and final exams. The Assistant Principal also assists with discipline, attendance appeals, and professional development while supervising students in hallways, lunchrooms, and extracurricular activities. By balancing administrative responsibilities with instructional leadership, the Assistant Principal helps ensure a safe, organized, and academically focused school environment.

Job Specific Responsibilities
- Oversee IEP and 504 conferences for non-ED/Life Skills students, ensuring compliance and appropriate accommodations.
- Conduct staff evaluations and support teacher professional growth in collaboration with the Principal.
- Coordinate and schedule standardized testing, including SAT, ILEARN, and WIDA assessments.
- Manage scheduling for convocations, final exams, and assemblies.
- Support attendance processes, including appeals, documentation, and interventions.
- Manage enrollment in and progress through Alice Academy.

- Coordinate move-in processes for new students to ensure smooth transitions and accurate scheduling.
- Collaborate with the Principal and staff to plan and provide professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administrators regarding testing, scheduling, and student needs.
- Assist with discipline by working collaboratively with students, families, and teachers to address concerns.
- Supervise extracurricular events, assemblies, hallways, and lunch periods to maintain safety and order.

- Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements related to testing, attendance, and student services.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in handling student information and disciplinary matters.
- Model leadership and collaboration in supporting the high school's instructional and operational goals.
