Occupational Therapist School Setting in Methuen, MA

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license (MA OT License required)
• Background or interest in working with PreK students on social-emotional and behavioral goals, as well as basic experience with elementary-age students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Experience or strong willingness to support high school students with ASD
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student progress and participation
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services and interventions to students with diverse needs, emphasizing self-regulation, sensory integration, and adaptive skills
• Assess student functioning and create individualized treatment plans for PreK, elementary, and high school populations, with a focus on ASD support
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic activities within the school day
• Document student progress and communicate findings to educational teams and families
• Maintain compliance with state and district guidelines for service delivery and documentation
