Math & Literacy Interventionist Sanford School Department

Sanford School Department is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Math & Literacy Interventionist position .

The position will play a critical role in supporting student math & literacy development through targeted instruction and collaboration with staff. This position is an integral part of the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy interventions for students
• Deliver push-in classroom support in collaboration with classroom teachers
• Actively participate in and help facilitate the MTSS process and team meetings
• Collaborate positively and effectively with teachers, staff, and families

Qualifications:

• Appropriate teaching certification required
• Experience working with elementary students encouraged
• Strong understanding of literacy & math instruction, intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
• Demonstrates patience, kindness, and compassion
• Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement

Sanford Pride is a PreK - Grade 4 school located in the heart of Sanford, Maine.
