Literacy Coach

Regional School Unit #4 Locations: Libby Tozier and Carrie Ricker Schools Litchfield, Maine JOIN OUR TEAM! Literacy Coach RSU 4 is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and collaborative Literacy Coach to join our instructional leadership team. This preK-4 coaching position is focused on supporting teachers as they work to improve literacy achievement for their students. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of literacy instruction, including the science of reading. The coach works closely with teachers and administrators and helps support quality instructional practices, providing job embedded professional development in formal and informal coaching cycles. The literacy coach also supports the use of curriculum materials, engages in data analysis and provides PD on topics such as instructional strategies and instruction planning.

Requirements: Must hold valid Maine (020) General Elementary or (092) Literacy Specialist Certification. Coach training preferred.
