As a Principal, you will oversee of all disciplines for elementary and middle school programs and daily management of student discipline and behavior management for all elementary and middle school students. You will report to the Assistant Superintendent, and you will work onsite.
This position is an interim position with the potential to be a permanent position due to a potential retirement in the near future.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the school
Responsible for all compliance issues to the NYS Education Department, NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH), NYS Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS), and the Justice Center
Oversee the overall curriculum and instructional programs
Ensure that all classroom coverage meets required ratios of teachers, teacher assistants, and other support staff
Supervise the administrative team to help teachers and support staff to manage student behavior, and deliver a quality instructional program
Lead, facilitate, and participate in agency, school, community, and multi-school meetings as required
Lead efforts with building leadership team to insure budget utilization requirements are met
Directly supervise and evaluate members of the building leadership team and other school teachers and staff as assigned
Provide building leadership for all Agency and School Initiatives, Policies, Regulations, and Procedures as they relate to students and staff
Actively participate in Northern Rivers Senior Management Team meetings
Requirements and Education:
A Master’s degree
At least five to seven years’ related experience.
School Administrator certificate required
