Qualifications:MA DOE Certification in Speech/Hearing and Language DisordersMaster's degree in Speech-Language PathologyCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHAKnowledge of state and federal regulations related to special educationExcellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, time-management, and technology skillsExperience with providing Speech and Language services in a public school settingProficiency in documentation and progress reportingAbility to create effective and individualized treatment plansSEI training preferred; Bilingual preferredStrong ability to relate and work with the elementary school learnerAbility to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and specialists on interdisciplinary initiativesA positive person, willing to become involved in the academic and social aspects of school life to support student success, school spirit, and school climate and cultureSensitivity to and experience working with diverse student populationsDuties:Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess students' communication skillsAdminister standardized tests to diagnose speech and language disordersDevelop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with required timelines and regulations for students with speech or language delaysProvide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication development.Collaborate with staff regarding augmentative communication devicesMonitor and document students' progress and adjust therapy methods as neededWrite and input progress reports, measurable goals and objectivesLiaison for students on caseload
