Middle School Principal

Mountainburg Public Schools is the Place to Make a Positive Difference. We are seeking a passionate, student-centered leader to serve as Middle School Principal for grades 5–8. This individual will play a vital role in supporting student achievement, building strong relationships, and leading a positive school culture focused on growth, accountability, and success for all students.

• Possess a valid Arkansas Building Level Administrator License
• Demonstrate a strong track record of successful leadership
• Demonstrate a commitment to supporting positive student growth and achievement
• Have experience with instructional facilitation, teacher support, and coaching
• Build and develop strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and the community
• Are passionate about improving student outcomes and supporting the whole child
• Lead with integrity, professionalism, and a servant-leadership mindset
• Use data to drive instructional decisions and school improvement
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and student-focused school culture
• Support teachers through visibility, coaching, and instructional leadership
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders
• Thrive in a small-school environment where relationships matter

• Provide leadership for the instructional program and daily operations of the middle school campus
• Promote high expectations for student learning, behavior, attendance, and achievement
• Support and supervise teachers through classroom walkthroughs, feedback, coaching, and evaluations
• Build and sustain a positive school climate focused on safety, respect, and student success
• Collaborate with district leadership, staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders
• Use student performance data to guide decisions and school improvement efforts
• Support effective Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and teacher collaboration
• Ensure consistent implementation of district curriculum, policies, and procedures
• Manage student discipline fairly and consistently in alignment with district expectations
• Supervise extracurricular activities and support student involvement opportunities
• Oversee campus operations, budgeting, scheduling, and facility needs
• Maintain strong communication with families and stakeholders
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee

• Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or related field
• Valid Arkansas Building Level Administrator License
• Minimum of three years successful teaching experience required
• Previous instructional leadership experience preferred

• 220 - 240-Day Contract (determined by the superintendent)
• Salary based on experience and district salary schedule
