This contract position offers an engaging experience providing speech-language pathology services to integrated and sub-separate special education students during a maternity leave coverage from September 3rd to November 25th. Key Qualifications: Holds a current SLP license and certification appropriate for a school-based setting Demonstrated expertise working with Pre-K or preschool-aged students Experience delivering therapy to children with diverse needs, including those in both integrated and sub-separate special education classrooms Familiarity and skill in using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems Comfortable with behavior management strategies specific to early childhood and special education populations Strong collaborative communication with educators, families, and related services providers Responsibilities: Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders among preschool children Deliver targeted speech/language interventions for students in both inclusive Pre-K and sub-separate special education classrooms Develop and implement Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals and maintain detailed documentation Integrate AAC for students requiring alternative communication strategies, adapting approaches based on student needs Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistency and progress toward student goals Participate in team meetings, sharing progress and recommendations to enhance student support Enjoy the chance to foster communication skills during a pivotal developmental stage, working alongside professionals invested in student growth.
