Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active California SLP license and ASHA CCCs (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in school settings, particularly at the elementary level, is highly valued
- Strong clinical skills addressing speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Excellent interpersonal abilities for collaborating with students, teachers, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to an elementary caseload as outlined in students IEPs
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate student success
- Maintain detailed records, documentation, and compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and advocating for students needs
