School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Silver Spring, MD

This full-time, itinerant position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants with experience in education and healthcare settings. You will work 40 hours per week within a collaborative team, helping students achieve their communication goals across a varied caseload.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Active SLPA certification/license, or eligibility in the state of Maryland
• Previous experience in educational or healthcare settings, working with children and adolescents
• Comfortable managing a diverse caseload in specialized settings
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress tracking
• Adaptable and organized, with strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel between assigned school sites as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
• Assist in assessments, therapy sessions, and implementation of individualized education plans
• Document student progress, maintain records, and communicate updates to the team
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
• Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to support student outcomes
