Step into an impactful role supporting students across the Western Region in the Hornell and Bath areas as a dedicated speech-language pathologist in a full-time, onsite contract opportunity. You will work with a mix of PreK and elementary caseloads, using your expertise to enhance communication skills and help students thrive both academically and socially.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (NYSLP) License
- Current Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with PreK and elementary students, is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, speech/language assessment, and therapeutic intervention
- Ability to work independently onsite and communicate effectively with school staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop therapy plans for students with communication disorders
- Deliver speech and language therapy services according to each students IEP and educational goals
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families across the Hornell and Bath area schools
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student progress and independence
