School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Canandaigua, New York

Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a Speech Language Pathologist on a full-time contract basis. This role focuses on conducting evaluations and collaborating with educational teams to support communication and language development among students.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license required
• NY Teaching Certification mandatory
• Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work with a diverse student population and staff teams

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address students needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate optimal student outcomes
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
• Provide direct therapy services and consultative support within the school setting
