Teletherapy Speech Language Pathologist in MD

A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide telespeech and teletherapy services within a public school system in Silver Spring, MD. This contract role requires full-time availability, offering 35 hours per week with assignments beginning August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027. Working within the Eastern Time Zone is essential due to scheduling and teletherapy requirements.

Responsibilities include delivering virtual therapy to students across various age groups, primarily in elementary and middle school settings. Caseload sizes may vary, with typical peaks of up to 57 students but starting lower at the beginning of the school year. Individual caseload assignments will be tailored based on experience, comfort level, and geographic considerations. Collaboration with supervisors will ensure alignment with the candidates skill set.

Qualifications and experience required for this role include:

• A valid Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Maryland SLP licensure
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Minimum of 3 years of virtual school-based speech therapy experience post-COVID, with at least 2 years within the past 5 years
• Familiarity with telespeech platforms and teletherapy best practices
• Ability to complete mandated background and credentialing checks

Additional pre-employment steps involve passing a technical screening and prescreen interviews conducted by the staffing team. Documentation including resume, license images, and professional references must be submitted during the credentialing process.
