School Nurse - Long Term Subsitute

The Chandler School is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of LTS school nurse starting on August 31, 2026 to December 23, 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes and coordinates health education programs.
  • Prepares and distributes health information.
  • Consults with teachers and other school department personnel on health issues
  • Facilitates in-service education as needed.
  • Collects and maintains public health/school health data using the electronic health record and prepares reports concerning public health/school health activities as required by Duxbury Public Schools.
  • Facilitates and contributes in communication related to student health.
  • Develop Health Care Plans for students with chronic medical conditions and share information with school personnel as needed and allowed.
  • Provide emergency care for students and staff on school premises in the event of injury or sudden illness.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Active/Current Registration as registered nurse with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Requirements:

  • Massachusetts Teaching License -School Nurse
  • Previous school nursing experience
