Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology; K-12 experience preferred
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; will consider CFYs (with established supervisor in Flint)
  • Michigan SLP license or proof of application/pending status
  • Comfortable providing onsite therapy in school settings
  • Ability to travel between assigned schools as needed
  • Official university transcripts required before district consideration
  • Experience supporting urban youth and knowledge of resources for families is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy (individual and group sessions)
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to integrate speech goals into instruction
  • Develop and monitor student IEPs and participate in related meetings
  • Conduct evaluations, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance
  • Consult on AAC systems and provide in-service training for staff
  • Manage therapy materials, and support referral processes for additional services
  • Travel between school sites to deliver intervention
