This position primarily serves PreK to 1st grade students with speech-only needs, providing therapeutic support and collaboration with a dedicated team. Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, particularly PreK through 1st grade
- Familiarity with IEP development, Easy IEP software a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility for both onsite and potential virtual service delivery
Your Impact & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 12-15 students
- Work within a supportive, shared speech therapy room alongside fellow SLPs
- Develop and implement individualized IEPs, attending meetings and maintaining compliance with state and district guidelines
- Document and monitor student progress using monthly minutes, ensuring thorough record-keeping and reporting
- Contribute valuable expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team to optimize student outcomes
