Step into a fulfilling school-based contract role supporting students communication growth for the 2026-2027 academic year. Youll be working onsite with a manageable caseload among K-12 students, collaborating closely with educational teams, and making a meaningful difference in a district known for its inclusive approach. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute duty-free lunch each day, creating the perfect balance between professional impact and sustainable work-life flow.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
  • School-based SLP experience, particularly in expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language, articulation/phonology, and fluency disorders
  • Familiarity with Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
  • Comfort managing a caseload of about 35 students, with occasional case management for students receiving only speech/language services

Your Role Will Include:

  • Delivering direct and consultative services to students with SLP needs across grade levels
  • Supporting a smaller, cross-categorical classroom, primarily 3rd grade
  • Conducting case management for speech/language-only students (typically 5-10)
  • Collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Maintaining thorough, timely documentation in compliance with school and state standards
