Step into a dynamic contract opportunity making a difference in the lives of young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Work onsite supporting PreK to 1st-grade students one day a week, with potential to increase to two days, for the 2026-2027 academic year. You'll manage a focused caseload of 12-15 "speech only" students, collaborating with an experienced team in a dedicated speech room. Your expertise in developing and implementing individualized speech therapy plans will help students reach their communication goals at this welcoming educational setting.

Qualifications and Ideal Experience:

  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement (CCC preferred)
  • Previous experience in school-based speech therapy (PreKelementary levels ideal)
  • Familiarity with Easy IEP or similar IEP software
  • Ability to write, track, and implement monthly speech therapy minutes
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Positive, collaborative approach to working with students, staff, and families

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a consistent caseload of PreK-1st grade students
  • Share a supportive workspace with three other SLPs and foster a collaborative environment
  • Serve a single school per day, minimizing travel and streamlining your workflow
  • Complete IEP documentation and progress reporting using Easy IEP software
  • Engage in team meetings, professional development, and multi-disciplinary collaboration as needed
  • Adapt to onsite and, potentially, virtual service provision
