Virtual Occupational Therapist - California

This contract opportunity offers the chance to deliver specialized occupational therapy services within a school setting through telehealth platforms. Providing support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, this role focuses on enhancing educational outcomes by addressing individual motor, sensory, and developmental needs.

Location: Berkeley, CA
Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Age Group Served: Kindergarten through 12th grade

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and deliver treatments via teletherapy for students enrolled in school programs
• Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that align with educational goals
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed
• Document therapy sessions and maintain compliance with state and educational regulations
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student development

Required Qualifications:

• Current California Occupational Therapist License
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy, particularly via telehealth or teletherapy
• Proficient in utilizing teletherapy technologies and adapting therapeutic techniques for remote delivery
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, families, and educational staff
