Physical Therapist - School Setting in Orange, NJ

Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students across a dynamic school district! Work in a district-wide setting, providing physical therapy services to K-12 students across multiple schools. Work 35 consistent hours each week, from 8:30AM to 3:15PM, beginning September 4, 2026, and continue through June 25, 2027. Your expertise in school-based physical therapy will positively impact the educational experience of children at all grade levels.

Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey
• Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric environment preferred
• Ability to complete NJ-required credentials: TB test, physical, and fingerprints for both agency and school district
• Flexibility to travel between multiple schools within the district
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the screening process

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students K-12, in accordance with IEPs and district goals
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective intervention plans
• Document progress and maintain detailed records
• Support safe and inclusive participation in school activities
• Offer consultative guidance to staff and families as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to evaluation and treatment planning
