Position:
High School Assistant Principal ( 205 days )
Location:
North Putnam High School (Grades 9-12)
Certifications:
- Master's Degree or Higher advanced degree in educational administration
- Indiana Administrative Certificate
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a successful classroom teacher
- Leadership and scholarship
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
- Strong delegation, listening, problem solving, and student advocacy skills
- Sound judgment and the ability to function in a high stress environment
Qualifications:
- Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school
- Serves as administrative head of the school in the absence of the principal
- Assumes responsibility for the supervision and administration of the high school's textbook rental program
- Supervises and administers the student activity program
- Acts as an advisor for student body activities, class elections, homecoming, and other special events
- Assists the Principal with supervision, evaluation, and coordination of the certified staff
- Provides assistance to the Athletic Director in the supervision of the girls' and boys' athletic programs
- Develops and maintains schedules for the use of school facilities
- Assumes direct responsibility for the administration of student discipline procedures
- Assumes responsibility for the administration and supervision of non-certified staff
- Serves as the building level contact person for Civil Rights and Title IX issues
- Keeps abreast of changes and developments in the profession by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications, and discussing problems of mutual interest with others in the field
- Promotes good public relations for the school district and community
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned

Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will support the Principal in providing educational leadership through the organization, administration, supervision, and evaluation of all personnel activities within the scope of the policies, rules, and regulations of the North Putnam Community School Corporation. Must support all students achieving at high levels with fiscal responsibility, integrity, and effectiveness.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience
