About the Role

The Preschool Director at Kids World will lead the preschool program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality instruction and day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for staff supervision, curriculum implementation, family engagement, licensing compliance, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a visionary, hands-on leader committed to early childhood excellence.

Responsibilities Include:

Educational Leadership:

  • Maintain high-quality early childhood educational programs aligned with our standards
    Lead the implementation of Links to Learning approved curriculum
  • Use data to guide instructional decisions and continuous improvement
  • Ensure lesson plans are developmentally appropriate and reviewed timely
    Foster professional development opportunities for all teaching staff

Operational & Staff Management:

  • Supervise and evaluate all preschool staff
    Recruit and retain highly qualified team members
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing and safety requirements
  • Promote a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and support staff career growth

Parent & Community Engagement:

  • Develop strong, transparent relationships with parents and families
  • Implement marketing strategies to support enrollment goals
  • Support school-wide communication and maintain an up-to-date school website
  • Act as the preschools ambassador within the broader community
  • To be familiar with parent communication technology

Financial & Facility Oversight:

  • Achieve enrollment and budget targets
  • Manage all preschool budgets, financial records, and reports
  • Maintain high standards of facility operations and vendor relations

Program Development:

  • Oversee before/after school care, camps, and enrichment programs
  • Drive innovation in programming and family experiences
  • Support accreditation and quality improvement initiatives

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in educational administration, early childhood education, or related field (required)
  • Director-qualified per California licensing requirements (required)
  • At least 3 years of preschool administration experience
  • 3+ years of preschool teaching experience (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of early childhood pedagogy and developmental benchmarks
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication tools
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
