VerbaCare Inc is seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) including Clinical Fellows (CFYs) & SLPAs, to provide comprehensive school-based speech therapy services across Contra Costa County, Concord locations. Key Responsibilities: SLP

  • Speech-Language Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations for K-12 students with speech and language disorders.
  • Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development: Develop, write, and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services, including articulation therapy, language intervention, fluency therapy, voice therapy, and social communication support.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with special educators, general education teachers, school psychologists, and families to support student progress.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and evaluation reports using SEIS, SIRAS, or district-specific software.
  • Professional Development: Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities: SLPA

  • Assist licensed SLPs with the delivery of speech-language therapy services in school settings
  • Provide direct support for students with communication disorders including articulation, language delays, fluency, and pragmatic language skills
  • Prepare therapy materials, assist with data collection, and track student progress in compliance with district and legal requirements
  • Follow treatment plans and therapy protocols as directed by supervising SLPs
  • Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Maintain confidential student records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications: SLP/CFY

  • Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Licensure: Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Experience: Previous experience in school-based settings preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications: SLPA

  • Associate degree or certificate in Speech Language Pathology Assistance or related field
  • Current valid California Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or eligibility to obtain license
  • New graduate SLPAs encouraged to apply - clinical supervision provided
  • Knowledge of school-based speech therapy practices and IEP processes preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
