Through the Family Resource Center model, Enlace provides a safe and welcoming space where families can access support, build relationships, and engage in programs that promote stability, well-being, and long-term success. With over 20 years of experience in Holyoke, Enlace works in close partnership with families, schools, and community providers to ensure children and families have equitable access to opportunities and resources.
Position Summary The FRC School Liaison serves as a critical bridge between families, schools, and community systems. This role works closely with the Holyoke Public Schools district to support families in navigating educational systems, addressing barriers, and improving student outcomes including attendance, engagement, and academic success. The School Liaison provides direct support to families, identifies systemic challenges, and collaborates with partners to design solutions that strengthen coordination and access to services.
Key Responsibilities Family Support & Navigation ? Serve as a resource to families navigating school-related challenges, including attendance, behavior, and academic concerns ? Provide referrals, advocacy, and direct support to families experiencing CRA-related or other complex needs ? Support families in accessing services such as IEP processes, school meetings, and educational resources School & Community Collaboration ? Build and maintain strong relationships with school personnel, district leadership, and community providers Collaborate with local, state, and private agencies to improve coordination of services for youth and families ? Participate in meetings with school staff and interagency partners as needed Program Development & Implementation ? Develop and implement programming aligned with the needs of families connected to Holyoke Public Schools ? Facilitate workshops and trainings for parents, caregivers, and students in collaboration with school leaders ? Support special events and initiatives that strengthen family engagement and school partnerships
Data, Systems & Continuous Improvement ? Track and analyze data related to family needs, referrals, and outcomes ? Identify trends, barriers, and gaps in services to inform program improvements ? Document successful strategies and support replication of effective practices Systems Change & Capacity Building ? Identify systemic barriers impacting student success and family stability ? Contribute to solutions that improve access, communication, and coordination across systems ? Expand awareness and access to FRC services within the school community Additional Responsibilities ? Bachelor?s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience or
? Associate?s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience Required Skills & Experience ? Bilingual Spanish/English with strong verbal and written communication skills ? Experience working with diverse Latino communities ? Experience working with families, youth, or community-based programs ? Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and public speaking skills ? Ability to build relationships across systems and stakeholders ? Strong organizational and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications ? Experience working with public schools or school systems ?
