School-Based Physical Therapist - Saint Peters, Missouri

This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced with school-based physical therapy, seeking flexibility and the chance to work with K-12 students during Extended School Year (ESY) programming.

Key Details:

• Initial work day: June 25, 8:00 am12:00 pm
• ESY schedule: June 29July 1; July 69; July 1316; July 2023 (MondayThursday)
• Typical hours: 7:45 am12:31 pm, averaging 35 hours weekly
• Final days (July 2223): dedicated time to conclude records and assist with therapy room organization
• Caseload last year: approximately 7 students, 175 minutes/week (subject to confirmation at interview)
• Setting: Elementary school campus; working collaboratively in a supportive educational team

Preferred Background:

• Valid Physical Therapist licensure and eligibility to practice in schools
• Prior experience delivering PT in educational settings to students of varying abilities
• Familiarity with developing and following IEPs and participating in multidisciplinary collaboration
• Excellent communication skills for family, student, and staff interaction
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and caseloads

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct PT services to K-12 students per individual needs and IEP requirements
• Conduct assessments and maintain progress records to inform ongoing support
• Support student participation and functional mobility across school activities
• Collaborate closely with staff and families to ensure student success
• Complete documentation and assist with classroom setup/pack up as needed
