Requirements & Qualifications

Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Child Study Team Member (LDT-C or School Psychologist)

  • Valid New Jersey Department of Education Certificate as Learning Disability Teacher-Consultant or School Psychologist
  • Master's Degree from an accredited graduate school
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing special education and demonstrated ability to effectively furnish comprehensive evaluation(s)
  • Successful experience working with students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, modifications, and intervention planning
  • Effective problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, staff, and outside agencies
  • If LTD-C, minimum teaching experience required for LDT-C Certificate

And

Community Parent Involvement Specialist

  • Valid New Jersey Department of Education Certificate
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or related field such as sociology, psychology, or education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with families, staff, and community members Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and community resources
  • Knowledge of NJ Preschool Regulations

Salary/ Benefits

  • Per CTEA negotiated salary guide, based on experience and earned degree level
  • Minimum $61,265 - maximum $95,155
  • CST Members shall follow the 10-month school year calendar and will have additional opportunities for summer hours (case management) and evaluations (per diem).
  • In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, prescription, vision, dental insurance, and paid time off.
  • Employees will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
