Technology Coordinator Jobs

A Technology Coordinator in school administration is responsible for managing, integrating, and promoting the use of technology within the educational institution. They typically oversee and maintain the school's computer systems, networks, and technology tools, ensuring that they function efficiently and effectively. The Coordinator may also provide technical support and training to both staff and students, develop and implement technology policies, and assist with technology-related purchases and contracts. Familiarity with various operating systems, computer networks, and educational technology tools is crucial, and the ability to stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in technology is also important. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals can be beneficial. Prior to becoming a Technology Coordinator, a person may have roles such as IT Support Specialist, Network Administrator, or Computer Systems Analyst within the IT department of a school or other organization. Having a background in education, such as being a teacher with technology integration experience, can also be advantageous in this role.
